My wife will think I'm crazy, but I'll try to be there. A day (Tuesdays?) when the SC releases its weekly rulings would be good.

I believe when they rule out the Ten Commandments will be the time to march.

I will go.

We need to march to remind the WIMP Republicans in the US Senate whom we elected through our work and money that they need to get off of their fat behinds and do what we elected them to do. Quit kowtowing to the left-wing fascist democrats and get on with the people's business. Get us some judges that support the Constitution and do their duties under the Constitution to limit the power of the court.

Based on the useless regulations and mandates passed into law that are forced down the States' and our throats..........

I'd suggest including the HOR and the WH to your list.

I don't think Americans know what hit them when the Black robed folk handed down that ruling! The terrorists are jumping for joy! It's a glorious ruling for them, hire teens as hit-man, kill as many innocent folk and spend the rest of your life at taxpayers expense in a prison! Free room and board, free schooling, free meals, no fees for using the gym...MAN! WHAT A LIFE!!

Its way past time - RINOs are to blame. Bush, Ford et.al. have put these POS on the bench or looked the other way when filthy liberals like Ruth Bader G. was put on there without any dissent. Hell she was a former pres of the ACLU - how much more biased could she be????? This is the issue along with the border that will not go away for the Republicans so they had better step up to the plate and start playing hardball or there is going to be a voting alternative which will win the votes from them - ever heard of the Conservative Party????

If someone is able to murder others, they should face
the consequences for their actions, regardless of age.

Yes. After national security, judicial appointments are the MOST IMPORTANT issue facing this administration. The SCOTUS judges appointed by GWB will determine the fate of the Constitution, and thus the republic. The internationalist faction on the court, lead by Justice Kennedy, is propelling the nation toward the European model:

--government by unaccountable elites;

--subjugation of Western civilization and values to multiculturism in general and Islamic fascism in particular;

--conversion of individual citizens into passive, dependent wards of the state;

--diminished national sovereignty in favor of transnational, undemocratic institutions;

--laws driven by agenda-motivated interest groups (NGOs), rather than the consent of the governed;

--thought control through regulation of speech;

--destruction of personal autonomy by deprivation of the means of self defense.

I was surprised at the strength of my own reaction to the Roper case (teen executions), because I'm ambivalent about capital punishment generally. But then I realized that the real significance of the case is not the result but the Court's naked, unprincipled, ipse dixit power grab. Kind of a wake-up call.

Well I'm disgusted, big time.

Wondering out loud here....Marches take time, work, commitment, energy and focus. In essence, you'll need to suck all the oxygen out of the political machine to have a meaningful impact.

Isn't our time better spent getting 60 Republicans into Senate seats in '06? That's not to stop a march if others decide that's our focus....

Long overdue.

You build it they will come!

I'm ready, willing and able, but like fishing, I need a days notice.

I was wondering if this should be breaking news -- but it was not a Newbie doing it.

I think you have enough experience with Freerepublic to know what is Breaking News and what isn't.

Is the 10 Commandments display part of the need or the new Chief Justice after Rehnquist steps down [to have the activism]?

On second thought, we need to concentrate our fire on the Senate: we've GOT to get spineless GOP senate caucus to break through the dems' obstructionism. I don't care if they pass nothing else: if GWB doesn't appoint, and the Senate doesn't confirm, decent SCOTUS justices, nothing else matters.

The Senate is key, key, key. THe SCOTUS will ignore us. Senators won't.

Count me in!

We can't hit all the governors separately, but if we can muster up a huge showing in DC, that should make them at least a bit nervous.

I think there's an opportunity here to gather the largest number of grassroots people to march in DC in a very long time. It seems to me that all the talk show hosts, who seem to be steaming over this latest Court decision, will push this thing (if we have it) to the hilt--and most of them, I would guess, would be clamoring to be on the speaker's roster. FreeRepublic has gotten a lot of good publicity in recent months, and has become much more well known around the country. Let's use our new public image to good advantage.
