Bashir Masih, 35, was arrested last August in the district of Bahawalnagar and charged with tearing pages out of Islam's holy book to write magic spells on them.

The Moslems in Pakistan are simply the most ignorant people on earth.
The only way any of them can overcome this is to emigrate.
Christians, in fact, do not use magic incantations, nor do they care one way or the other about the Koran. Why would a Christian defile a Koran? Is it some sort of paper god that Moslems worship, or what?

charged with tearing pages out of Islam's holy book to write magic spells on them. Two out of three witches prefer the Koran when they want to jot down a spell or two. These people are at an early medieval stage of cultural development; but they drive cars and have nuclear weapons. Arghhhhhh.

Christians, in fact, do not use magic incantations, nor do they care one way or the other about the Koran. It's a psycological projection thing. Most Muslims in these third world hellholes are very superstitious and routinely use Koranic verses in talismans, amulets, etc. They don't understand that Christians don't believe such things.

Sounds like modern life passed them by. Do they know what "ethnic cleansing" means?
Such could be arranged!

Some day I'm gonna find a nice thick copy of the Quran and use it for target shooting. Then I'll take a picture of it and put it on my slideshow screen saver. It'll be fun.

TP was probably in short supply. Somebody really needs to market toilet paper with verses from the Koran printed on them. I'd buy it by the caseload!

You are exactly right. I used to collect small silver jewelry boxes for my wife. In Egypt and Saudi, I picked up several from a market and was lectured by Muslims on how I had to put verses of the "holy book" into them if I wanted "my wishes to come true, and to put curses on my enemies."

To put the DUmmies on full tinfoil alert, suggest the company that does it be named Trilateralist Paperworks, Inc. with a principal place of business listed as 1300 Wilson Blvd. Suite 120, Arlington, VA 22209 (address for Pat Buchanan's mag). Corporate officers should include John McCain, Karl Rove, John Kerry and Hillary Clinton. Think of the conspiracy theories this would bring to DU threads.

What's to be expected? It's friggin' PAKISTAN, not Club Med!
Don't they spend at least one day a year rampaging in the streets, whacking themselves in the head with swords, until they're a bloody mess?
I'm not surprised.

Lucky for this guy that he didn't say bad things about the pedophile pirate "Prophet"... that's probably a death sentence.

don't smell right, Christian writing 'magic spells'? It doesn't smell right because it isn't right.
There is nothing Christian about "writing 'magic spells" or ripping pages out of religious books to offend those of other faiths.
