i think rules of prey was the first in that line, with all of the '... of prey' books i've read being really good.
sanford and patterson (along came a spider) are two of the best authors in that genre

great writer. BTK was killing long before Sanford was writing mysteries.
you could probably even find his novels in some cave in
Afhganistan.(he's pretty well known.)
