Any Canadians in a position to comment on the passivity of the Conservatives?

I would love to know why Stephen Harper has been AWOL here.

The only issue that he has taken a strong stand on is gay marriage, and while I agree with him on that, it's a losting issue in Canada. It will not get him elected up here.

He needs to step aside and let someone else take over.

I am beginning to think that Harper does not wish to preside over the breakup of Canada.
