Vietnamese-Americans Against Illegal Immigration

http://www.fairimmigration.com/id3.html

Vietnamese will be treated fairly and no longer be discriminated against by the U.S. Government if it does the following:

1. Enforce all immigration laws. At a minimum these enforcement measures should include:

A) Businesses should be required to check the validity of new employees Social Security or work permit numbers.

B) Local and state law enforcement officers should verify the citizenship and immigration status of everyone they apprehend. Every illegal alien they apprehend should be detained and transferred to the Homeland Security Departments ICE division for deportation.

2. Children born to illegal aliens and guest workers in the U.S. should not be given U.S. citizenship. The U.S. is totally out of step with the rest of the world in this regard.

3. Any long term guest worker program (1 year or more) should only include foreigners outside the United States, not illegal aliens inside the U.S. To protect the wages of Vietnamese-Americans, the guest worker recommendations of the Jordan Commission should be followed.

4. We support U.S. investment in high immigrant sending countries to create more opportunities there. For example, we support the proposal where the U.S. would match any new funds Mexico spend on infrastructure, education, and law-enforcement improvements if they also institute free-market and anti-corruption reforms. Since a dollar goes much further in these countries, many times more people could be helped this way instead of helping only a relatively few by letting them into the U.S.

5. The U.S. should not allow legalized illegal aliens nor anyone they sponsored to sponsor their relatives for family preference immigration. This would eliminate the increased waiting times past legalizations of illegal aliens has created...temporary category could be set up as was done...

I have many mexican friends in Mexico who had never given it a thought to leave their home to come to the USA. They feel that Presidente Fox's economic plan "Leave Mexico Behind" may be a good economic plan for those whose dream is to live in the USA, but for them there is nothing. Any liberal who supports illegal immigration is actually hurting the Mexican people who love their home enough to stay there.

The only hope America has for politically stopping illegal immigration is if all the legal immigrant groups rise up in protest.

Unfortunately, even this is not promising when you realize how overwhelmingly unbalanced the immigration numbers are from Mexico vs the rest of the world. And what makes it even more unbalanced is that the voices of European and other "white" immigrants won't be counted because it's "politically incorrect" for them to speak out against the "brown" immigrants.

So basically, it's Central and South American immigrants vs. Asian and African immigrants.

The legality of today's African immigrants especially those from Somalia is questionable. I know many...most of them that I know here in Portland have immigrated to the US from Europe and NOT Somalia. You see, many of the Somalis you see here are the portion that Europe had agreed to take. Since then (whether they had been incouraged by the European governments - I don't know) they had come to the USA. Employment is the major reason they had come. I might also add that they brought over one of their wives and left the other wives back in their European country. They send money to them and I've heard of situations where some were actually claiming dependents which are not even in the US.

Just am so glad that I have this place to come to to read honest discussion.

Lou Dobbs has been on fire lately!

Move over Brit, getting tired of hearing about Jacko and Wacko Churchill.

Ugh, no it's not. Canada has the same rule, as do Mexico, Brazil and many other countries. The UK used to give citizenship to people born within its territory but they changed the rule.

(Are you referring to children of people who are in these nations illegally or legally? I find it difficult to believe that these nations have it written in the books that the children of illegals can be automatic citizens. That would encourage illegal immigration. I can't speak for the other nations on your list, but as for Mexico...try entering Mexico illegally to have kid and you'll be thrown in jail until the next bus arrives to deport you)

Let's not forget that abolishing citizenship for people born in the US would require an amendment to the constitution. Good luck getting that passed.

(Children of illegals?)
