Amazing. She's 99 years older than I am.

She inspired the song "The Girl From Itapetininga."

The claim is almost certainly bogus. Just about nobody lives past 115, although a French woman I think was verified to have died at age 121. The WSJ had an article on it. Almost all of these claims prove to be bogus.

Math is a little off on years or birth.....

According to the Guinness World Records Web site, the world's oldest woman is 113-year-old Hendrikje Van Andel-Schipper, who was born June 29, 1890. Correction - I was born on her birthday in 1945.

The claim is almost certainly bogus. Just about nobody lives past 115 I guess we'll have to cut her in half and count the rings.

Correct me if I am wrong but 2005-1890 still equals 115 not 113 right? Just wondering who the math whiz at Guiness is...

114. Her 115th birthday is this June. I think you just took yourself out of contention for the Guinness math whiz job :-)

This is awsome, I believe it. Or rather, I believe its possible. There's always going to be some folks at the top of the curb, and some at the bottom. A life with a low-calorie diet mixed with the right genetics and you could live that long - or longer.

Using the assumptions I made, not a monthly one but a yearly one, I'd say my math stands, wise guy.

Dan, so you signed up at FR when you were just 20 or 21 years of age. I'm jealous! :) I was almost 30 before I discovered FR. Better late than never, I suppose!
