Well, since we are on a roll here, perhaps your sentence structure would be clearer if it were written as follows:
"You are right. Why read the article when you can make assumptions instead? You are correct. Your math stands. However, in the future, you may wish to avoid the story problems."
Now, your written english is of the same high standard you have come to expect from my math.(Forgive the last sentence if the meaning is off. It was hard to determine the direction since its structure was ambiguous) :)
