Prayers sent.
Mom -
I remember there are alot of ups and downs in the NICU, good days and not so good days. My son came off and went back on the vent so many times, he bloated up once on food and had to have a hernia operation to fix the problem. God bless you and your little one. They are truely little miracles. Rest in Him and He will carry you and your family through this.
BTT!!!!!!!
He's more than DOUBLED his birth weight!! Woo Hoo!!
Oh, my dear!
I will continue to pray for yall! I am so sorry for the step back.
We will just keep your names before the Lord!
God hears us and He will answer!
Just keep talking to the little man and telling him he is going to grow into a big boy, by the grace of Jesus!
We have no way of knowing how our words affect him. But just keep talking and praying! Sometimes it's called affirmation and sometimes it's called confession. Just speak those positive words to your little boy!
We will stand on God's promises and stand in the gap with you!!!
Do not fear!
Keep your eyes upon Jesus!
Much love to you and your family!
BTW....we are coming down for a conference in Perdido, this week-end. If you need something please freepmail me. We would love to come and see you all and Malachi.
God bless you and yours!
In Christ,
LP
Prayers up 'specially much this morning for our Malachi.
You are more than welcome to come visit if you are passing through. I am hoping all of the set backs will be resolved by the weekend.
Thank you all for the prayers and encouraging words. My husband and I both feel like we cannot make it sometimes. Each set back puts that much more emotional strain on us and it is getting harder and harder. We, of course, will be okay because God is going to help us through. We also know that He is not going to put too much on us that we would not be able to handle it.
Oh honey...if I could give you more hope, and a hug.......I would!
I will just pray the Lord's blessing to lift you up so you can see beyond the trials, and know this little boy was born to show the world a miracle!!!
He brings joy to many, many people across our land!
You and Dad are the main part of this sweet birth! God bless you dear, with faith in abundance!!! Hugs to you and Dad!!!
I know you are exhausted!!!! Just believe for God to bring this little man home! I will believe with you, and so will many people on this forum!!!!
Medical advances are miraculous, and you are in a wonderful hospital!!!
God has so blessed our nation's Drs, with brilliant minds!
Malachi's Dr. is wonderful!!!
I want to encourage you Monica!
I am praying for you to have peace and hope!
He is a miracle baby! Cling to hope, honey!
Love to you!!!
Check your freepmail. ;-)
We'll just have to pray harder!
May God bless and heal Malachi and give strength and comfort to Mom and Dad.
Prayers for Malachi, that he be able to tolerate feedings so that he may grow good lung tissue and be able to breathe without vent support. praying for the healing of his GI system, and for his kidneys to work efficiently.
Prayers for the doctors and nurses to channel God's healing energy to Malachi.
Afternoon Update:
Malachi is having a rough day also. He is on a high dose of Dopamine now and they had to start his other blood pressure medicine to help. He still has not peed either.
They did get an x-ray and said that his belly is not working properly. They said it doesn't necessarily mean a major problem, that it just could not be working right at this moment. With that being said, they are holding his feedings.
He is also up on his ventillator settings. They did decide to go ahead and start his antibiotics back as one of his labs came back a little elevated.
I have not gotten to see him yet today, but the nurse said he is a little puffy.
Monica
Prayers to the Lord that his little under-developed "systems" will soon mature rapidly, and he'll be able to eat, poop and pee like a big boy!
In Jesus' Holy Name,
AMEN!!!!
Prayer ping to 1333.
Oh, that is rough. I've pinged some prayerful friends. You guys are not alone in this. You have been doing a wonderful job, and Malachi is a very special and lucky kid. God has some purpose in this, some purpose to His Glory. The God we worship says that He is like both a mother and a father.
"Does a mother forget her baby, or a woman the child in her womb? Yet even if they forget, I will not forget you."
"Like as a Father pitieth his children, even so the Lord has mercy on those who fear Him..."
I suspect, six months from now, when Malachi is home and pooping and peeing up a storm, you will look back and remember the hundreds of folks praying for him to have a good pee today and just laugh...that is my prayer.
Prayer time! Big Time!
We so love this little baby :) And our prayers will never stop..... not even after he's home safe in your arms. He's become "our" baby too!
Love and hugs to you and yours......

Prayers continue for sweet Malachi and his wonderful Mom and Dad.
Dear God,
Please place your Loving, Healing Hands upon this little guy and help his little body to fight off all harmful pathogens so that his lungs, kidneys, and GI system can perform their functions.
Keep fighting, little fella. We LOVE you.
