Turkish riot police have used batons and tear gas to break up a demonstration in Istanbul marking the upcoming International Women’s Day.

Hundreds of demonstrators, calling for equal labour rights for women ahead of Women’s Day on March 8th, gathered in one of Istanbul's tourist squares

Turks have no use for demonstrations, no matter who they are and what they are protesting.
