ROSTOV-ON-DON, Russia (AP) -- Chechen rebel leader Aslan Maskhadov has been killed, a spokesman for Russian forces said Tuesday.
Col. Ilya Shabalkin said Maskhaov was killed during the course of a "special operation," but he did not elaborate.
