"You get in debt, you get out of debt. It's personal responsibility."
Hey, that's great, except for one thing: at least
fifty percent of bankruptcy filers in 2001 cited major illness and large medical bills as the determining factor in their filing.
Of those fifty-plus percent, seventy-six percent
had medical insurance.
Are these the people you're referring to when you suggest that "they chose to get into debt"?
