yeah so some supernatural agent (a big guy in the sky, presumably) waved a magic wand and made 2 people. He then put em on a planet with he also created, but with rocks that were already a billion years old.

Good alternative theory!

No thats not the theory. The creation theory is, "Evolution is a crappy theory so ours is right. Facts you want facts? run away!"

And "it just happened, randomnly" is much more sufficient....

Look nooobies. If you want to discuss your feelings fine. Do so calmly and rationally. Do not attack the other posters for having a religious point of view. I will not sit here while you act like high school punks. Understood?

I don't think that is an accurate account of God's creation. You go ahead and believe Darwin.

Can you explain how matter is generated from non-matter?

Fresh volcanoes produce old rocks. I wonder what observing God creating rocks from nothing would teach us.

Adam was created fully mature, fully programed with language, naming the animals, communicating with his wife.

There are many things we don't know; one thing I am confident of, betting against the Bible is hazardous.

As Bill O'Reilly asked an anti-Intelligent Design advocate, "If God created everything, wouldn't that be science?"

The people he created WERE younger than the rocks.

And who knows what time means at the early stages of creation after all matter/energy/pulse/photon/etc. was flung out at enormous speeds and distances.

Who said the rocks were a million years old?

After all, you weren't there, and there is no absolute method of measuring age of rocks, only theories of how old rocks are.

Just take lava, then ask a geologist how old it is, but make sure to NOT tell him where you got it.

Dear Mongeaux,

You seem to be a man of science, and I am a trained engineer, so I hope you will not dismiss me offhand when I present to you the results of a little exercise I did today.

Being a man of science you would know that light being a particle imparts a force on an object when it hits it. This is the principle behind solar sails. Doing a simple search on the internet you will find that an object with a 50% reflectivity coefficient experiences a force of 6.97E-6 N/m^2. Not very much. But multiply that by the half the Earth's surface area and divide that by the mass of the Earth you will get an acceleration of 2.95E-16 m/s^2.

Again this is not much, and explains why the Earth's orbit is not measurably effected by the force of the sun's light hitting it. But, seeing as you seem to think the Earth is at least a billion years old, I decided to test your faith, and took the liberty of integrating this tiny little bit of acceleration over 1 billion years, and found that this tiny force over a billion years would have moved the Earth's orbit 293 trillion kilometers. The Earth's is currently orbiting 150 million kilometers from the sun !

I wonder how life could of evolved from a puddle of goo when the Earth was inside the sun a billion years ago?

F H

PS: I did NOT get this off any creation website/flyer/whatever. This is my original work.

Did I say that?

I think you have smoked too much lately.
