Judge Lefkow never ruled against Matt Hale. She ruled in his favor and an appelate court overturned it. The case involved a leftist group who sued for the group's name. They adopted it after Hale's group had been using it for 10 years.

Hale passed the bar exam, so he must have known Lefkow was not responsible for the appelate court decision.

As far as his solicitation to murder her, an FBI agent infiltrated his circle and suggested "we should kill that rat." Hale replied "do whatever you want, I stay within the law." He was convicted based on that. I think he was railroaded for his racist politics.

Not really. If you murdered a federal judge's family, and then got pulled over during the manhunt, wouldn't you consider shooting yourself? He probably thought the cops were pulling him over for a reason other than bad tail lights.

I believe the suspect who committed suicide will be found to have murdered Judge Lefkow's husband and mother. He was another irrational person who had contact with her in her professional capacity, like Matt Hale.

But, I am not going to let RWR8189's pack of lies stand.

(1) The Church of the Creator in Oregon had used that name for decades before Hale usurped it for his white supremacy group in the 1990s.

(2) White supremacists began posting false information about the judge to web sites from the time she was selected to hear the Hale case. (Among the claims are that she is Jewish and that her grandchildren are black, obviously tailored to fit the racists' and anti-Semites' agenda.) The fact she eventually ruled for Hale's group had no impact on them. They had already deemed her the enemy. Later, they latched onto the fine she imposed on Hale's organization in keeping with the appeals court's order as further ammo.

(3) Hale was denied a law license because he was already associated with law-breaking and violence by the time he tried to enter the legal profession. 'Moral turpitude' is a basis for denying a license to practice law. It includes behavior much less offensive than Hale's.

(4) Three of Hale's lieutenants testified against him during the trial for solicitation of murder of Judge Lefkow. There were four days of testimony establishing the chronology of the plot. Hale located and provided her address to would-be assassins and expressed approval when an informant said he would kill Lefkow. There was definitely enough evidence for a conviction.

Bigots can come here and post lies if they like. But, if I'm around, they're not going to go unchallenged.

Interesting. The MSM was quick to blame "White Supremacists," even when there was no proof. They would never leap to such conclusions if a Muslim, or any minority for that fact, were rumored to be involved.

Remember, the Beltway sniper was supposed to be a "White Supremacist." I don't remember the MSM apologizing to that mistake.

Matt Hale's group has been responsible for assaults and murders, including the shooting spree of Benjamin Smith in 1999. He injured seven people and killed two for their 'crime' of being people of color. In addition, many people who join hate groups are already convicted felons when they join. The conviction of Hale for attempted murder of the judge is another brick in the wall. As I said before, it was entirely reasonable to consider white supremacists prime suspects in this case.

They used it for a decade, not decades. A multicultural leftist group adopted the name and sued for it.

I remember doing a little research on this case when it happened. I vaguely remember biracial grandkids, but I could be wrong. It doesn't matter anyway!! She is not Jewish, nor was her husband, not that this would matter either! He may have been born Jewish, but he was a devoted Christian. Racists sometimes assume that a person with a surname that was adopted by Jews means a person is Jewish! Lefkow is an old Polish name!

"They" includes alot of people, some misinformed, some not.
Racists are individuals too. I don't doubt the dumber ones believed the Judge ruled against him.

I believe this. But Lefkow had no choice in the matter. I am sure Mr. Hale, who passed the bar, understood this.

Hale was never implicated in anything, nor charged. It was guilt "by association" the same way anti-abortion activists are "associated" with abortion doctor murderers. The guy who killed the Filipino postal worker was a former member, from what I understand. I disagree that his law license should have been denied because of his politics. Why would someone who believes in violence spend years, and money, and hard work, to become a lawyer?

I didn't follow the trial, but the one who gave the damning "evidence" was an FBI agent provacateur. He infiltrated the group and suggested "eliminating the rat." Hale replied "do whatever you want, I work from within the law." Hardly a solicitation, but there's a grey area. I don't know about the other two guys. Patriot Act has taken effect (if I recall correctly), so the same rules didn't apply. They used it on an American citizen not associated with terrorism.

I'd have to look into that. I never heard anything about him providing the address and under which context. I do recall that a net nazi posted the address online. It wouldn't be a stretch that the media would associate this anonymous person with Hale.

Well, bigots and the federal government both lie. The truth is somewhere in between. And in actuality, all of us are bigots in one way or another, though we never like to think it. The good thing is that we have a conscience about it.

What other murders? Hale was never convicted, or even tried. It's a stretch to then say his group did it. If a member of FR attacked and killed a Muslim, would it then be Jim's fault? I understand Hale's rhetorick is racist, but in the end, the nut who does the deed is guilty.
