especially when they find out the new ones have removable plates that make it easier to clean Yeah, almost makes me wish I had waited to get mine -- those removable plates would make things so much more convenient!

Yeah, me too. Cleaning it is difficult. I wait until it cools off and use Power Dissolver on it. I have the smaller one so I just hold it over the sink and wipe away all the goop right into the sink. I don't know what I would do with the larger unit.
