Kim Jong il, the Chia Pet (center)

Alive and kickin' folks. Live sighting. Second or third live sighting in North Korea in the last several weeks, another one at a Russian ballet presentation in Pyongyang.

Text: "Leader of North Korea Kim Jong Il (fifth in left front row), who visited the Russian embassy in Pyongyang on March 8, took commemorative pictures with Russian ambassador Andre Karloff (Right from Kim) and other embassy employees. Kim received a “Victory In World War Two 60th Anniversary Commemoration Medal” that the president of Russia, Vladimir Putin, sent on this day, and attended a banquet held by the embassy."

Old Soviet group photo posing styles (no smiling, tsovarich!!) are still the fad. Combined with East Asian group photos (no smiling, dongji!!) and you have quite a nice combination. One really big, happy, fun group there, wouldn't you say??
