My friend who works at the Crystal River plant got in touch with me. I was right that the illegal worker was "Red Badged" which means the worker was continuously escorted while on the plant site. At no time was that worker ever able to get access to anything nuclear related, and there was no way he could or would have. As my friend said, "You know how the media blows up everything pertaining to Nuclear."
So in the final analysis, it was much ado about nothing. The bigger story is that the illegal worker was in the United States to start with.

It's going to take some massive, tragic terror strike with a huge American loss of life before any politician gets enough balls to do exactly that - and at that point, the public will be demanding it.I think you are right. We already had 9/11, and they did nothing about it. I differ with you, only in that, looking at what has been happening for the last few years, that it may take several MASSIVE tragic terror strikes before the politicians will do anything. PC is so deeply entrenched in America, I just wonder how much it will take to dislodge it?

Thanks for the update, I thought it'd be difficult for someone 'wander' anywhere on a nuke plant. Let alone run into a tech....

Good follow up and thanks. I'm sure it would somehow have been Bush's fault anyway.
