Kerry Pacer was used to the whispering behind her back, the name-calling and the snickering when she walked down the hall. But when almost the entire student body at White County High School booed as she accepted a rose from a female friend during a Valentine's Day (news - web sites) program last month, she knew it was time to do something.

She should become more acquainted with a term called "the closet."

Kids in highschool get made fun of for being different. That's all it is.

Before you buy the story here, I think that some verification might be in order. How on earth does a story from some small hamlet in Georgia make it in to the Chicago Tribune?

While I can't quote the stats to you, I've seen a study that shows if a boy with homosexual urges can simply avoid acting on them, these urges will likely die down drastically by the time he gets to his mid-20s.

And I still can't understand why the high mortality rate, suicide rates, and higher drug abuse problems associate with the homosexual lifestyle aren't worthy of consideration when the MSM talks about gays, esp. with respect to young people at the age where then might choose to go this way.

It sends a message that gay people are not entitled to [the] same equality and rights as non-gay people...

Boo freakin hoo. Nerds, fat kids, ugly kids, dumb kids, and kids with acne are all victims of bullying. Hell any kid that stands out or is somehow different has an increased chance of being bullied but only the queers get special protection and privileges.

Right. Everyone should be protected equally from bullying.

This is what you meant, right?

She is obviously given over to a reprobate mind. The simple fact is that normal people look upon all homosexuality as an intensely pitiable condition, characterized by deep depravity. It would be something like a leper asking us to look upon his withered limbs and then applaud the "diversity" of his loathsomeness. Conservatives should remember it very clearly: unrepentant homosexuals are children of the devil. They need to be called to repentance and not assimilated into our institutions. To embrace homosexuality, as merely one more choice, is to embrace death.

What about profanity in school? Do you think that should be protected speech?

What about kids that boo the flag during the pledge?

The entire student body committed a hate crime lock them all up and throw away the key! Seriously, how about teaching gay sex is wrong, don't we have that right? "All Communists Like Us" or ACLU for short do it everyday, telling us what we should and shouldn't do. Does the ACLU have more rights than all non-members?

"bullying"

Bullying is the new catalyst by which homosexuals/lesbians are legitimizing their lifestyle in the middle and high school settings.

How can anyone be against bullying? By including vocal nonacceptance of homosexuals/lesbians as "bullying" the gay/lesbian crowd have gained gained a strong foothold in public schools.

The growth of public schooling in the US was originally supported strongly by the protestant churches as a way of preserving protestant dominance at a time when a flood of non-Protestant immigrants was threatening the political and social dominance of the WASPs. They were badly deceived into thinking that they could rely on the state to protect their dominance.

Fast forward a hundred years, and these tax-funded "temples to the civil religion" have been seized by the worshippers of the messianic state, and the various other gods of human manufacture that have supplanted the God of the Bible.

Now the crowd that worships at the altar of its sexual passions (of whatever variety) is demanding a place for its favorite idol. Given the perverted logic of the polytheistic secular state under which we live, and its increasingly unconstrained institutions, this can hardly be surprising, however unpleasant it might be. This man-made god, the state, will have no other gods before it, though everyone's favorite household gods are quite welcome provided that they "mind their manners" and collectively bow down before it. People whose God refuses to be domesticated in this way are in for one heck of a rough ride.

oh wow...who are you to preach from the pedestal? did god give you that right no

Take a look at yourself before judging others..yes there lifestyle is wrong, but do not judge, for on the day of repentance we all stand before god,

. It would be something like a leper asking us to look upon his withered limbs and then applaud the "diversity" of his loathsomeness.

a leper is someone with a health condition, not a person damned by the lord,
