Misunderestimation?

By Oliver North

News item: President Bush taps John Bolton for U.S. ambassador to the United Nations. Dear John: Congratulations on the new gig as the president's top dog (Rottweiler?) at the United Nations. Given the way the liberals have reacted to your appointment, your confirmation hearings are likely to generate more adrenalin than a Fallujah gunfight. The thought of you representing us at the U.N. is driving the Bush-bashing, French-kissing, Blame-America-First crowd that savaged Condi Rice and Alberto Gonzalez into a frenzy.

Ollie North, like the rest of us, looks forward to a tough UN ambassador in Bolton, will hopefully expose the UN for what it is: a corrupt, scandal-ridden outfit, whose main agenda is to bring grief to the US and Israel.

He also encourages Bolton to face his Senate liberal questioners head-on, not back down, and expose their phoniness.

I wonder if Condi is behind this. A few days in State and, "Kaboom!" Enough of this!

Is Bush being reasonable, however? Just because of the Oil for Food scandal? Or was it that silly little sex-for-food scandal in the Congo? Or was it that absurd little complaint Bush had about replacing the US with Sudan in the Human Rights Commission?

I just don't see what all the fuss is about.

Hm... there is one little difference between the two threads. This one is Washington Times, and they don't require an email registration the way Town Hall does for loading the page. I don't like all the junk I get in email already. So I'm really glad we have this, where I can actually read the entire piece. FReegards....
