I'm sorry for not posting a link - the story is here somewhere on FR this weekend - just search for NYT and I'm sure you see it - the headline is about LOOTING OF WEAPONS IN IRAQ - it's really quite comical to read it because you realize that we KNEW all this years ago now .. and the NYT is finally admitting they knew it too.

Of course, their focus is that Bush was an incompetent because he didn't stop it. The new Iraqi govt gave the report to the NYT.

Somebody get us a link -- or better yet, some excerpts. (Unfortunately, last I checked you have to subscribe for $30 a month to get into NYT on-line and I have not subscribed.)

I stand corrected -- getting at the NYT on-line is free. Guess the $29.95 a month thing I remember from a year or two ago was a bit of a turn-off. Anyway here is the link:

Apparently WMD themselves weren't looted (as far as they know) but equipment for making them sure was. To me it's the same thing, but that's not good enough to silence the Moore-ons.

Then again, nothing is.
