Ignorant, eh? I could tell you were going there, trying to say that anyone who doesn't know the specs on every kind of weapon shouldn't have a voice on gun issues. I already answered your question, so I'll rephrase my point. IMHO there is a difference between reasonable self-defense arms and military-grade weapons, and I am open to restricting access to military-grade hardware. Don't know where the line should be drawn, and generally favor erring on the side of not being restrictive enough than too restrictive. Obviously a 6-shooter is way too limited to be sufficient for self-defense in all cases, but the equivalent of a gatlin gun might be too much. I am not trying to write the law, but am saying that I, and many conservatives (regardless of how you browbeat them here) think that some restrictions on excessive firepower can be justified. That isn't simply a response to media brainwashing, or ignorance of the constitution, or an emotional overreaction, or total ignorance of gun issues. Its a difference of opinion on whether any restrictions on the biggest/most powerful weapons are reasonable, or if everyone should have easy access to rocket launchers or anything else.

Oh really, although you call someone else an idiot, and then cant tell that Im sarcastically rubbing your nose in it with 'control-carry' ???

Your whole lame argument seems to be based on gun freedoms, so long as those freedoms are restricted. and since you cannot see that your 'line in the sand' has no reality in the framers context, then you resort to name calling and leapfrogging from 'reasonable civilian weapons' to RPGS. Like there should be a difference.

And since your knee jerk will be that RPGs arent reasonable for civilians, I will go ahead and ask WHY NOT ???

at what point does you or the government have any say in what I may peacably do with my time or money ? If I have the land to peacefully use them, or to play with mortars or demolitions etc, why are you afraid ???

reasonable self-defense

I'm late on this forum, so it's probably been asked, but is defending yourself from a tyrannical government reasonable? If so, whould you use a six-shooter to do this?

Let's play a game.

One of these pictures is a legal semi-auto AK variant . One is a small caliber target rifle. One is a fully automatic "assault rifle," classed as a machine gun. Can you pick which one is which?
