Milton Friedman actually makes a pretty good case against the Postal Service.

I agree with him, but it's Constitutionally mandated, and in this day and age I'm not sure it's worth the trouble to amend the Constitution to delete something that is withering on it's own.

Well, the Constitution says that Congress has the power to establish post offices. Only Congress interprets that as meaning that they must establish post offices.
