Adding males to a police force decreases the number of civilians accidentally shot by police. Adding black males decreases civilian shootings by police even more
One of the things that isn't often mentioned about Ann is that, with her legal background, she is wonderful at doing research -- a very feminine trait.
There are so many things wrong with using 5-foot grandmothers to escort prisoners of KNOWN violent disposition, that even taking a chance with those presumed to be compliant is an unacceptable risk.
There were certainly enough large strong burly men to be found to accompany Brian Nichols to the courtroom the NEXT time he was to appear before a judge.
But, you see, more dead people is a GOOD thing to liberals because it means that fewer nasty humans are alive to ruin the precious Mother Earth. As long as the dead aren't the liberal elite, of course.
She still falls into the trap of differentiating "officers" from "civilians," as though cops operated under the UCMJ or something. Otherwise, an excellent article.
You're right but I'd suspect that this was a staged photo event rather than an ordinary day at the range, especially since the picture was taken from down-range.
I was just going to post that we need more pictures of Ann---
I am a woman, but she is one of the women that I admire, like Laura Ingraham and Michelle Malkin--so I like seeing pics, too...
She hasn't. She was transferred today to a Rehab facility in Buckhead.
She was terribly beaten, and probably won't be a policeman again for a long time, if ever.
You'll want to read this.
Policemen DO operate under something like the UCMJ. There are whole chapters of state statutes, and local ordinances, that are devoted to the special circumstances that spell out the specific limitations placed on policemen regarding the use of force while making an arrest.
Ever hear of a Civilian Review Board?
It is surprising that ANY police work is ever actually done.
Actually, this is due to police arriving AFTER the violence has started and shooting a person fleeing towards or away from them for safety. The police scream "STOP! POLICE!" and the innocent civilian mistakenly thinks that the police is yelling at someone BEHIND them (the police couldn't be yelling at THEM because they aren't the perp) so they run FASTER.
However, when a civilian shoots, they are much more likely to either be the intended victim of the crime or a direct eyewitness to the crime and they know who the bad guy is.
Actually the good news for her is that her condition is now changed from critical to stable.
She has no memory of the incident according to her doctors.
I absolutely LOVE Ann Coulter. She is RIGHT ON every stinkin' time when it comes to liberals, feminazis, political correctness, etc.
She has a biting wit and sarcasm that won't quit, and although she might want to eat another sandwich or two, she looks pretty damn good while she's eviscerating the left.
As much as I enjoy Ann Coulter's articles, I must say I disagree with this one to a certain extint. I believe we SHOULD have female officers (Hint: That's my future plans). Although, she is correct when she says women are not as strong as MOST men. (I didn't say ALL men)
"You're right but I'd suspect that this was a staged photo event rather than an ordinary day at the range, especially since the picture was taken from down-range."
I was not the original poster, but it runs in my mind that the pic came from either Esquire or perhaps GQ. Most shooting pictures I have are staged as well.
Ann is correct, during physical training tests in the military, women have to do the same test as the men, but the goals they must reach are pathetic. For example, If a man must do 40 push-ups to pass that portion of the test, a woman MIGHT have to do half of that. In other words no, women are NOT as strong as men.
That is very good news.
But she was put in harm's way by Feminism and the idiotic idea that a 5-foot nuthin' female (or almost anyone) can do a police job.
