CHICAGO -- The body of the man tied to federal judge Joan Humprhey Lefkow's family murders remained unclaimed on Wednesday.
Bart Ross confessed in a suicide note to the killings of Lefkow's mother and husband. He shot himself to death outside of Milwaukee last week.
Investigators are searching through records looking for relatives to claim Ross' body. If his body remains unclaimed, Milwaukee County will provide money for burial. In the meantime, officials said they've recovered a global position mapping system from Ross' van. Programmed into the device were directions to the Lefkow home, as well as a doctor and Cook County judge.
And the man's relatives scramble to hide from those who search for them.
If he'd won the lottery they'd be scrambling to claim him.
Now there's an idea. Start a rumor that he has a fortune in the bank, willed to his next of kin. They'll be scrambling to be that "next of kin".
Does anyone here find it problematic that a recovered GPS unit from the dead suspect had directions for the judge's residence on it? Isn't that just a little too easy?
If I were a conspiracy theorist I would say that even easier than the GPS unit is the fact that he has no apparent next of kin.
I personaly would not have an ONSTAR or other tracking device....I dont need the dealer to tell me that my vehicle's warrantee is void because I was pushing 90mph one day....or to have the government tell me I was speeding for the same reason....
....we are handcuffing ourselves with these devices....Easy Pass for instance has caused people to get speeding tickets....
recipe for disaster in the long run I am afraid....Big Brother, gone berserk.......
Fedex your own cell phone to yourself on the first day of the month. The feds may become convinced you're part of the Memphis Mafia, attending midnight meetings and jetting home before sunrise.
Purchase a Trac Fone and register it to Tom Daschle or Ted Kennedy and call up liberal groups with it and threaten them.
Buy a deli scale and program in reduced prices for prime meats at the grocery store. Print your own labels for $1.29 for an entire NY Serloin or Rib Roast, placing it over the one on the package. Print up some for your relatives. (Grocery store checkers no longer even care what they ring up as long as they get a passed scan beep!)
