Heavenly Father,

How grateful we are for Your goodness and mercy that enfold and uphold us each moment of each day! Lord, You are faithful even as we waiver; You are strong even as we are weak; You are forgiving whereas we want to hold grudges; You are perfect whereas we are blemished with sins of both commission and omission. We are in awe that even in the light of all our sinfulness, You loved us enough to send Your Son to take our sins upon Himself and pay the debt that can never be repaid. Lord, we offer our lives to You asking that You mold us and bend our will to Yours. Accept our praise, O Lord, and let it be pleasing and acceptable in Your sight!

Father, we thank You for a President who has been revealed to be the same in private as he is in public; who is sincere and humble; and who calls Your name and proclaims You as his Master. We are grateful that he has remained true to the vision that You have put in his heart of freedom's march throughout the world. Bless George W. Bush and his administration, giving them the courage and the wisdom to lead our country and the world in these challenging times. Speak to the consciences of our Senators and members of Congress that they may put aside a desire for personal glory and power and greed and do what is best for our nation. Give them a renewed sense of the inspiration that You gave our forefathers as they founded our nation and penned our Constitution. Awaken our citizens to desire a culture of life and a return to morality that is consistent with Your commandments.

Father, even as we enjoy the freedoms in our land, we are always mindful that it has been our military, throughout the generations, that have protected that liberty. And now they are making great sacrifice to extend freedom to countries where many thought it was an impossible task. We thank You for our troops and the armed forces of our allies who have fought side by side with us in this quest. Bless them; watch over them; guide their leaders to make wise decisions; give strength and comfort to their families.

Lord, we lift Terri Schiavo up to You unceasingly. We trust in Your wisdom and pray for miracles. Bless her family and hold them in Your loving arms as they go through this ordeal. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Lord, you are the rock that is higher than we. No one who trusts in you shall ever be ashamed. It is from this basis, your very authority and faithfulness, that our strength comes, and it is on this basis that we make our appeals to you.

We need many things turned around in this nation. The prince of the power of the air has had a field day with our centralized media, indoctrinating your sheep to the point that they engage in behaviors personal and political that hurt themselves and the ones they love. This is no abstract dynamic - very real lives and qualities of life are being affected. There literally is blood in the streets.

It extends to our educational system, from grade school to the universities. This is nowhere seen more clearly than in the ongoing Ward Churchill scandals. Again, it is the young and impressionable who are being deceived and misguided.

It continues to minorities, whose desperate plight is taken advantage of by self-aggrandizing politicians who foment class warfare, who demagogue against legitimate businesses, who give cover to lawyers and judges who have driven our legal system entirely out of balance. As a result we are divided and strained, and the costs of doing business and obtaining health care are driven out of the reach of the very ones for whom these politicians purport to advocate.

Help us to weave truth and righteousness into the fabric of our society. Then we will be able to go forth into the world and help others achieve just societies.

Help all our leaders who stand up for this noble cause, particularly the president and Sec. Rice. We are grateful for the quality of leadership that we have. Most grateful. And every day, we observe our opponents and are reminded anew of our profound gratitude.

Most importantly, make a way for your Word to become flesh and dwell among us. Change us, convert us. Make us all more like Jesus, draw us close to you in true fellowship. In your presence there is joy, and in your joy there is power.

I speak to the mountains before us, to the seemingly insurmountable impediments of every sort, and in your name I command them to be cast into the sea. All obstacles and enemies must yield before the name of Christ, before the precious blood of the covenant. For there is no higher power than this, and we are in your service.
