If he received $700,000 in 1993, it's not so hard to believe that 12 years later most of it has gone towards her medical bills.

The article states that Bushnell and Felos together have been paid $438,743. That is 63% of $700,000. So most of it went to the lawyers.

There is $50,000 left. Less that, the remainder is $211,257. If all of that was in fact used for medical care, it is only 30% of the original 700k. Therefore, twice as much went to lawyers fees as did to Terri's care.

Schiavo Attorney Felos No Stranger To Medicare Fraud

You've stated that you don't think socialism is a good system then you turn around and support it.

The basic tenant of socialism or collectivism is "from those according to their means, to those according to their need"

Like another liberal posted earlier today "the devil is in the details" and the details of what that statement means are horrible.

Face this truth. To take the fruits of a man or woman's labor at the point of a gun and threat of jail is WRONG and it is still wrong even if you think you can do some "public good" with it. The ONLY moral means of charity is for it to be done of free will by consenting adults.

There are legitimate reasons to tax, ut the transfer of wealth from one group of people to another is NOT one of them. You can color it with all the flowery words you want but the fact remains that it is theft by proxy.

Even though their are legitimate uses for taxes the means of taxation outweighs ANY good you think you can do with it. A slave is someone who does not own the fruits of their labor.

A slave builds a house for someone for a sum of money agreed to before building the house. The master of the slave finds out about this and realizes that since the slave is his property he also owns the fruits of the slaves labor and thus takes whatever he wants off the top of the pay. The slave owner can be generous and give back a portion to the slave but the owner decides how much. The owner can then take that money and use it to feed a poor person.


The income tax is better known as the "slave tax". You don't own the fruits of your labor because the state can decide to take whatever percentage they want before you ever get it. If you don't own the fruits of your ability then you don't own yourself, your the property of whoever has first "dibs" on that which you make. The immorality of slavery is NOT justified by using the money for a "good cause".
