The Associated Press reports that biologists with the Idaho National Guard have discovered a new species of fairy shrimp in a desert lake bed. Dana Quinney and Jay Weaver first found the forked-tailed shrimp nine years ago and will publish their findings in an upcoming issue of the Journal of Crustacean Biology. Antime the military goes on training maneuvers, they have scientists go out before and after to inspect the environment..IAt Elgin AFB..the largest..in the swamp areas, they relocate the snakes and turtles off the trails BEFORE the vehicles go out into the boonies

Why? Because by law the miltary must sumbmit environmental impact statements for a variety of reasons. Major construction, major exercises, etc, etc.

They weren't "hunting" for the shrimp, but rather found them during a routine site survey.

If you don't like it, talk to your CongressCritter.

They spent nine years polishing their article, which is what Horace recommends. It should be outstanding.

The left-wing fascist environmentalist have taken over the government. They want you and me and all humans put in boxes and fenced in so that they and their kind can enjoy the their perverted ideals of the wild. They have just about stopped the military from training in some places and are in league with the terrorist to stop all training.

I don't have a problem with it. As I understand it our military has a very impressive record when it comes to taking care of the enviroment.

Ive seen several episodes of the Crocodile hunter that were filmed on our military bases.

Yes, well, I guess we can hope that one day we'll have a Republican president and congress so all of this can be set right.

No, keep going!

Bubba Blue: Shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, sautee it. There's, um, shrimp kebabs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo, pan fried, deep fried, stir fried. There's pineapple shrimp and lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich... That's, that's about it.

If they're fairy shrimp, I would think it would be obvious they are headed for extinction.
