What would you do then if a loved one was in a similar position. Would you want the government to impose a decision on you. Would you want your spousal rights removed. Do you really want the United States Government, an organization that groups like Free Republic have railed against time and time again for overly intruding on our lives, making these decisions for us. Is the US government, that means me and you, now willing to pay for her care, and the care for EVERY person in her condition? I just had a friends dad decide NOT to continue with chemotherapy. Should his family petition his state representative to pass a bill mandating that he stay on his treatment because of the sanctity of life. Should ventilators NEVER be turned off for patients (what's the difference between a ventilators and a feeding tube, the patient would die without either device) I guess these points are moot because you have all figured this out. Now pat yourself on the back and be proud of yourself.
