Well I like the father I heard quoted today on the radio. He told these baseball players to just deal with it, they ARE role models for kids.
I thought that was a fair cop.

The problem with taking steriods is that it un naturally raises some hormones in your body, and lowers others. Not just testosterone but others also.
When your testosterone level raises, so does your Estrogen level (even in guys) to keep pace with what testosterone your body has. This is why some guys take testosterone sterorids and end up growing breasts. Roids without a doubt has the ability to mess with you meantally and leave you in a wreck. I agree with these parents that the kid probably comitted suicide because he was taking roids. I feel bad for them too.

I might be in a minority here but it is not the ballplayers' fault that the teenager used steroids. It is his parents fault, first and foremost, as he startd as a teenager when he was STILL LIVING IN THEIR HOME. If they didn't notice that he was looking like the Hulk then they weren't close enough to him.
They ought be ashamed to blame professional baseball players.
I had a cousin that died of alchohol as a teenager. And not for a moment did anyone in my family blame Budweiser or Coors.

Where did this kid get the money to buy the steroids? If he was doin' sports and pumpin' up he proably didn't have time to work at McDonalds to pay for the roids.

"What's important," she said, "is that our son thought he used steroids." So if I think something that makes it so?
Ok, I think she is letting her grief and desire to blame someone else get out of hand.
