You also seem to froget (or omit) the fact that we have the TAIWAN RELATIONS ACT. While our government may SAY that it has a 'one china' policy we arm Taiwan and defend it!

Taiwan does not need to declare independence. The government of Taiwan is the legitimate government of all China. The US does not support independence because we look forward to the day when Taiwan is reunited with a mainland freed from barbaric communist slavery.
