Political Correctness is endangering the safety and security of our nation on a daily basis. This article does a good job of describing the physical and emotional "dumbing down" effect on society of these make-believe regulations which are ending in death and destruction. If you weight 180 pounds, do you want a 120 pound female or male firefighter coming to rescue you from your burning building or worse, to have to move some kind of heavy object to rescue your child? The matter of police work is more serious because severe situations occur more frequently. Women can do many things and they should be screened for the tasks they can do, and they should be barred from what their physical attributes tell us they cannot do. Lives depend on good sense and our blindness and our affluence have defrauded us through the allowance of crazy, irrational thinking regarding so many crucial areas of security in our communities. Human creation is what it is and magical thinking, which used to be called abnormal, will not change the facts. Many people want to pretend they can sing like Whitney Houston but put them on the stage and tell them to make a living at it and they will fail miserably..This is cut of the same cloth. It is time we confronted this issue and put pressure on the ruling authorities to change it back to reflect reality.

I believe now the minimum height for an NYPD recruit is 5'2'' for females...to see a cop that size, loaded down with all the gear they carry...it's, at best, humorous..
