The higher court upheld the finding of what Terri desired I assume. I don't know about the expert testimony issue. Maybe it was found to be surplusage or harmless error, I don't know. The problem is making such a finding based on uncorroborated oral testimony, particularly when the spouse has contrary pecuniary interests. That is beyond the pale. But given the robes, we need a law. We need it now; well actually we needed it yesterday, and given the state of Florida Scotus, we probably needed a federal law, as substantive federal law, not a procedural one now being batted around. I am unsentimental about suicide, euthanasia, and the like, but I know the potential for abuse when I see it, and I see it here. Pity that so many cards have been played, with so many asleep at the switch, including myself, that now the king on the chess board is close to check mate, and it is probably too late. That is a shame.

Well actually, Uncle Sam can now come in and just arrest Terri on a witness warrant, Greer or no Greer. Once she's out of Florida then they can feed her.

A no-respect-for-God-in-any-shape-or-form-clan? If that's what you mean, yes. Then no, we're not, but we also believe God cares about us and aproves of us moving on when the time comes.

In the case of Moore, I argued that he should defy what I believe was an unconstitutional and illegal order, but that he should be prepared to accept the consequences of that act.Odds weren't in his favor. He got shown the door. Judges aren't above the law.

Yes, she is inconvenient, and she is inconvenient through her own negligence, so let her die. So9 I cannot believe you just posted that. You should be removed from this board immediately. You disgust me.

So you are saying you starved your father to death? If so, then I understand your self-righteousness. You are just defended yourself against the indefensible.

Are you a retread? For the life of me, this is the first time I've ever encountered you.
I'm not going to answer your insults. Have fun with them, but if you aren't going to be civil, then you can just flail away.

Judge Greer has forgotten or is neglecting the fact that our Constitution acknowledges that our rights are not a gift of the government to be rationed out by petty bureaucrats and backwater judges. We are endowed by our Creator with unalienable rights.

You have nothing to say. Your comments are based on two things fear and ignorance. You have succumbed to the fear of a severe disability and youa re ignorant of Florid LAw and it's courts holdings.
Set yourself free. Get rid of the fear and the ignorance.

"Bad law is no law" is that what this means?
To: Torie
I think Terri will go hungry till Monday evening when Congress gets off its proverbial a$$ and sends Marshalls to protect their witness.
That will give them time to pass a law that will put this thing back into the courts.
Hopefull Terri will be able to speak halfway intelligably by the time the murderous 'judge' Greer has a chance to try and murder her again.

I know 2 people on this site who have had to withdraw food & water from relatives in the last 2 years. Two of the anchors on FOX news today said they had had to do it with parents in the last year. Tens of thousands of people have food and water or other life support withdrawn every year. Ignorance or dishonesty?
Yes, feeding are stopped. Ventilators are unplugged.
FROM TERMINALLY ILL PATIENTS! People who die within minutes or hours of life support being withdrawn.
Not from people who are like Terri, brain damaged, but not relying on extraordinary means to keep her alive. Not from people who will linger and suffer for weeks before dying a horrible death.
So are you just ignorant or dishonest?
