Just heard on Fox that U.S. Senate will convene today in emergency session regarding Terri Schiavo.
From what I heard Delay say, the tube will go it as soon as the bill passes, and will buy time for her until she gets her day in a federal court.
Poor Mary Jo.
Delay is saying that normal federal procedure will mandate that the tube will be reinstalled.
The senate bill had judicial discretion which has been removed.
This provides for FEDERAL REVIEW it is a temporary stay.
She has been in hospice for YEARS?!!! Hospice is only for the "going to die soon."
Delay says one compromise is that Greer is still the judge.
Go look through all the documentation on this case - find me an instance or proof of it being done! I've read in numerous places that he prevented it. He also tried to prevent her being treated for various infections over the years.
The bill has passed, why can't the tube be re-inserted right away? I don't understand why there is a delay.

Don't be hurt but with your lack of compassion for others, I doubt that anyone would care even if you changed your mind. Keep that living will and let others know about it. I'd bet they'd be happy to carry you a death wish.
Yes. This is absolutely sickening, that they are going to cause this poor woman to die a slow and painful death, by dehydration.

Blunt was great. I wish he could have said more about Terri.
I visited my sister's MIL in a nursing home in the early 90's.
She was on a vent, but was otherwise fine. Sitting up in bed, writing to communicate.
There were 3 other woman in her room and all of them were on feeding tubes, and asleep. Not a tube like Terri's. These were nasal tubes, that you could see.
I asked my nurse friend why were they all being fed this way, and she said because they're understaffed and don't have enough time to feed these people by mouth.
I don't know if that was really the case, but it was an eye opener.
I now know, that an NG tube is put in only on a temporary basis, and then they go to the stomach tube.
Prayers for Terri and that they feed her soon.
If its still in Greer's court and he orders the tubes removed before federal review what happens then? This is crazy.

As sick as I find him, I find his lover to be even more sicko. Being a woman myself, the thought of producing two children with such a sicko is totally insane. She must be one wacked out person herself.
