This is a sad case, pitting husband against parents.

However, things like this happen in hospitals all the time, as technology keep people alive longer and longer.

There was actually NO technology keeping Terri alive. Other than the brain damage, her basic health is fine. However, even the most rudimentary palliative care was denied her. Therapy, range of motion, any kind of stimulation was prohibited.
