"Besides, apparently this whole argument (while revealing) has no application to the circumstances since Congress and the House in effect passed a private relief bill that has been issued in past."

I don't know if you can call this a relief bill, as it simply usurps the power of the States Supreme courts to be the final arbiter of State court decisions.

A "relief" bill would presume that a decision has been made.

I suppose Boxer or one of the abortion lovers can try to halt this on Monday. I wouldnt put it past them.

Maybe Maxine Waters and the CBC will make asses out of themselves in protest of the bill.

Women are not a piece of property for her husband to starve after use and abuse. We look down on the Iranian theocracy for stoning and hanging their women. Where is our moral authority? Homosexuals couldn't break the sacred institution of marriage, yet activist judges still try to destroy the building block of society.

God spare us since our judges don't know when life begins, ends, or who has "life" enough to keep alive with "rights".

Does anyone know if the Republicans had to pay a ransom to the democrats to cooperate on this bill ?

The ransom was a voice vote.

They have been in the Middle East, in judge Greer's Florida, and in the minds of too many posters (even one is too many; they should simply convert to DU).

There maybe more hope and expectations than actually arises out of this legislative show.......... When this is passed and signed I think it will allow the parents to become involved where they couldn't before under state law.... They will petition Judge Greer first and if he denies their request then it can be moved to the federal courts.... The Feds may or may not take the case.

Congressional leaders announced a compromise that would allow the brain-damaged woman's case to be reviewed by federal courts that could restore her feeding tube.

The Senate was expected to meet Saturday evening on the matter, and House Majority Leader Tom DeLay said the House could approve the bill as early as Sunday.

"We should investigate every avenue before we take the life of a living human being," said DeLay, R-Texas. "That's the very least we can do for her."

The measure would effectively take Schiavo's fate out of Florida state courts, where judges ordered the feeding tube removed on Friday, and allow Schiavo's parents to take their case to a federal judge. DeLay said that would likely mean restoration of the feeding tube "for as long as this appeal endures."

I heard lawyers on FOX say that this bill, if for one person, Terri, will not work since it is unconstitutional.

What say you?

"Randall Terry, an anti-abortion activist who is acting as a Schindler family spokesman

Suzanne and Bobby Schindler do a superb job of speaking on behalf of Terri and the Shindler family and are far better during television appearances than Randall Terry.

Its not an ex-post facto measure. It applies to any incapacitated or disabled person and any of them can apply for a hearing. So its not like its specifically written to save only Terri Schiavo.

None. I thought we were past the idea human beings are some one's property. They litigated it even in the 24th Century. See Star Trek: The Next Generation "The Measure Of A Man" episode. I wonder if we really will grow enlightened or whether we need to relearn lessons we already think we know.

I mean after buying off all of them, and the doctors and the armed guards, the nurses and just about everyone else in Florida...

Nonsense. He didn't buy them all off b/c many clearly contradict the scumbag and his lawyer's and the court appointed "experts" (with connections to euthenasia groups).

Those contradictions are ignored by or disallowed by the courts, are not published by the mainstream media and blatantly ignored by people like you when presented with them.

Go back and look at the picture I posted. I've seen video too. What little I've seen and heard is more than enough to convince me something is rotten in Denmark. Why you have apparently fallen for the bogus story being told by the liberals and the death cult, I'm not sure. Perhaps you should read my caption too.

On what basis were they asserting that it would be deemed
unconstitutional ?

Note that when you ask questions like this, the murder advocates ignore you. This is because (a) They believe the answer is "yes, some humans are less worthy of protection than others" OR (b) They don't really care about constitutionality, they just want to get off on "winning" the battle to support their flawed ideology - human life having value doesn't fit in their world-view or help with their agenda.

Just think. The KillTerriFirst brigades have solved the Social Security crisis for us. Every seasoned citizen who enters a nursing home or hospital need not be fed ...

No more Social Security deficit

No on to the illegal alien problem ...

"What little I've seen and heard is more than enough to convince me something is rotten in Denmark."

At least you have a clue about what little you are seeing.

Sorry, but when you edit a minute out of 4 1/2 hours of video, and the judge who saw ALL of it and the doctors who were there at the time say they are not representative of what was happening, I tend to go with them rather the the so-called experts who diagnose from what they see on the internet.

Stream ALL of the video or at least add a minute or two onto both sides of the ones they are showing.
