" Saudi Arabia’s strict Wahhabi school -- blamed by some for inspiring anti-Western violence."

what blows my mind is the the people of the United States ,
never mind the Government, allow these Wahhabi mosques, centers, schools , and cultural centers to exist and disseminate this same venom right here in the USA !
Look at Ntl. Geo's latest issue and you can see how many such centers across the country there are.
How many of these are Wahhbist or Wahhabi inspired , either overtly or covertly?
We are asleep with the cobras breeding in our own basement.
It's time to truely wake up and stay woken up America .
We go asleep at the wheel far to easily....

a desire to restore Muslim honour

Couldn't he have done that by decapitating his sister?

It Appears that these "Islamic Jihardists" are attempting to accomplish an Event we are ALL TOO Familiar With--"Suicide By Cop!!"

But THESE Guys want to "Do It Up Big!!--They want "Suicide by Military Police!!"

So Be It!!

"Jihardists" deserve NO MERCY or Justice.

Those who would Murder Innocents should be ERASED--PERIOD!! If "Islam" condones the Murder of Innocents, then it is like "THuggee"--a Murder Cult to be UTTERLY SHUNNED by Civilization!

Perhaps the "Scholars" of "Islam" might want to examine the fate of "Thuggee;" a "Cult of Murder" has a SHORT LIFESPAN "In the West!!"

I'm not sure what our long term strategy is with Saudi Arabia...

Think sand becoming glass.

(Harithi followed the same journey as many hundreds of Saudi men who are believed to have slipped away to fight in Iraq, angered by the US military occupation and driven by a desire to restore Muslim honour.)

Reuters, as usual, makes the terrorists look good. A more fact-based report would have said that those Saudi men were brain washed by the local mosque into going to Iraq and trying to get themselves killed to get 72 virgins in heaven.

May they all find their death in Iraq. I spit on their unmarked graves.

"Whether intended or not, the Iraq invasion has caused a large number of the jihadists to run off to Iraq, where or military already is, and get themselves killed. The more we kill over there, the fewer there are to attack the U.S. itself."

I won't even say the losers name, but how many freaking times did we all hear "I will HUNT down and KILL the terrorists. Even his stoolies used the same words...hunt down and kill, hunt down and kill....but in the next breath he would say "Bring the troops home from Iraq."

I just never understood that thinking...he wanted to hunt down and kill terrorists...in Iraq you had terrorists galore coming from all over just begging to be killed...but no, not there, the supreme liberal loser apparently wanted to bring our troops home, then hunt down and kill terrorists somewhere else...thats some plan you got there pal...good luck with that. ...

Think the liberals would scream too loud if we buried every one of those jihadists with their very own pig to take with them into eternity?

Saudi authorities have tried to stem the flow of jihadis heading for Iraq, tightening control at the border.

Note that the terrorist was afraid of punishment by the government. There is a major public education campaign underway in Saudi to discourage terrorism and jihadism and donations to "charities" that support terror. Radical mullahs have been fired, cashiered or demoted by the dozens (and in a few cases decapitated). The Saudis have been lately allowing the U.S. to interrogate key captives before they're executed. We're getting cooperation from Saudi intelligence like never before.

For a time after 911 the Saudis didn't think they would really have to change their behavior, not in any fundamental way. They thought the U.S. couldn't undertake any major Middle East initiative without their support and active cooperation. Then we went to war with Iraq. They were superficially O.K. with that, but we couldn't use our military facilities on their soil for operations in Iraq.

They thought that might stop us, or at least hinder us, or at least remind us of our dependence on them. But Bush said, "O.K., so we'll move the airfields." And he did. We left their soil, and still went to war, and did it all within months.

That was a shock.

As far as they have yet to go, the Saudis have changed their behavior in profound ways. Of course, it's Bush's fault.

What is this Arab honor crap? Killing civilians and calling yourself a hero is honor only is the most distorted of societies.

Wow! Tens of jihadists in jail. That's some crackdown.

Bear in mind the source. Reuters doesn't want to acknowledge that Bush's policies have succeeded in changing Saudi behavior.

Saleh al-Awfi, the suspected leader of Al Qaeda in Saudi Arabia, has pledged to despatch more Saudis to Iraq.

“We will send you fighters and martyrdom seekers whenever you need them and you will find us a fortified castle and a strong shield,” Awfi wrote in a letter posted on the Internet.

Prominent Saudi Muslim scholars have stoked the fires, declaring support in November for the militants and saying holy war against occupiers was a duty. The statement, signed by 26 scholars, urged Muslims to “stand by their brothers in Iraq”.

Typical of Rooters (for Terror). The latest al-Qaeda rant is related soberly and straight-faced -- to make it seem as intimidating as possible -- without reviewing the lately unbroken string of empty threats from Binny's Boys. They was gonna rain destruction on America prior to our elections, they was gonna rain blood on Iraqi voters, they was gonna lead an uprising against the Saudi government, blah, blah, blah.

Oh, and why is al-Awfi merely the "suspected leader of Al Qaeda in Saudi Arabia"? Well, 'cause Rooters doesn't want you to know that he's the new leader, the latest in a series arrested or killed. Rooters for Terror's eagerness in reporting bad news for America and her allies is balanced by a sensitive circumspection and delicacy about reporting bad news for terrorists.

I don't know for a fact, but I'd bet that many of those 26 who signed the statement last November have been fired or arrested. Rooters wouldn't tell if they had.
