Videos are up! They are most very short 10-30 second clips, just to give a better idea of what it was like than pictures can.

I apologize in advance for the poor video quality. My camera was meant for stills, but it can take some low resolution videos. It also can't zoom once it's recording. But here they are:

Everyone holding their signs up across the street.

This is a long(1 min) clip, just panning around behind everyone there. You can really hear the cars honking in support in this video. Be warned however, this one is about 27MB.

The libs across the street

A closer look at the libs. (Camera is very shaky here, I think I was walking across the street)

Hi Lauren! Great to see you and the others at the rally yesterday. Thanks for the wonderful after-rally report and posting these pictures, they're great. I'm sending the thread link out now to my various lists of people that have expressed interest.

The editor of a Rollins College (Winter Park) newspaper, himself a veteran, was there doing interviews for the article he plans to write. He assured me that he will mention Protest Warrior as organizer, with the enthusiastic participation of the Central Florida Chapter of Free Republic Network, Vietnam Veterans of Central Florida, et.al. Hopefully we can get a copy of that article and make it a part of this thread.

One if the girls from the radical anti-war group, "Not In Our Name", came over to our side of the street to hold her sign which said, "Draft Me".

OldGlory immediately engaged her in conversation - keeping her busy so that she wouldn't notice that I was blocking her sign from view with my own "Bush/Cheney/Free Republic" sign with a big yellow bow around it. LOL

A policeman noticed what was going on and came over to ask her, "Aren't you on the wrong side of the street?" OldGlory told him that everything was OK since the girl seemed to be a peaceable person with whom she could reason (and of course, nobody could see her sign anyhow. LOL). Eventually some of the girl's friends came over(without their goofy signs) and also became involved in the conversation.

Before we parted company, I told them that they may want to check us out on Free Republic and see if they could successfuly defend their positions here. They said that they weren't interested in "arguing". I told them that most of the people on here don't argue, but that we just implement calm reason and logic in legitimate debate. I let them know that if they were UNreasonable Liberals and only interested in coming here to cause trouble, that our "Zot Father" would send out the "Viking Kitties" to "ZOT" them immediately. Since they thought that was really funny, they may show up here to see what that's like. They said they would ping me to their screen names if they sign up so as to remind me who they are. Riiight. LOL

Gene McDonald will get a kick out of this. I was wearing one of his "Pajama Patrol" badges of "Free Republic Pajamahajeen" fame, and it apparently looked so "official" to one of the young people there, that he asked me if I knew of any jobs that might be open at the police department. LOL

BTW - If anyone hasn't seen that badge, here's a closeup picture of it:

As an aside, I may not be doing something right because I can't bring up these videos you linked us to. I clicked on, and tried to install the "Quick Time" thingy it says I need in order to view them, but I got a message saying it was unavailable. I'm wondering if I'm the only one having that problem. Any ideas / suggestions?

Thanks again!!! BTTT
