First a small correction to one of the links. Mayor Livingstone is the Mayor of London not the Lord Mayor. The Lord Mayor covers only The City of London (about 1 square mile right in the centre containing the main financial district), and is an ancient and dignified office. The Mayor of London covers the whole of Greater London, and is a modern office which represents a significant breach with the traditions of British governance.

There’s a downside: the real underbelly of British reporting are the scum of the earth and they destroy lives.

I have to agree with that statement as it stands, but as usual Ken leaps well beyond the bounds of common sense and starts adding in piles of crap. I suppose at least he didn't add in a dash of anti-semitism (of which he has been quite fond recently).

I thought the speed and possible inebriation of the driver is what caused the accident. If you are a celebrity (Like it or not) you better be prepared to embrace the press as a third wheel.

It took them more than 90 minutes to get her to the hospital they finally decided on. Any paramedic or doctor will tell you that in order to give the patient the best odds for surviving, they need to get to the hospital within 20 minutes.
