Murder is "intensely personal," yet the State is obligated to intervene in cases of attempted murder. However, the opposite precedent has been set with regard to the "intensely personal" decision to murder one's own child in utero. This poll is not surprising.

The federal government has no legitimate role whatsoever in homicide cases (outside a few narrow circumstances, none of which are applicable here).
