But if she can talk why isn't there any record of her words to the doctors who examined her? If she can talk, why can't a doctor or judge ask her what her wishes are about the feeding tube?
If the part of her brain controlling speech is damaged, she can communicate by other means. Just because she can't control her breath and tongue movements doesn't mean she can't control her hand or eyelids. I can't believe they didn't try communicating with her in other ways. They have devices now that allow people to "speak" by focusing their eyes on words and letters, or even just changing their expression.

Pull the plug was just a figure of speech. What Im trying to say that for me in her current state is no way to live. Show me the quality of life there. She is basically a vegetable. They should just shoot her up with a cocktail and put her out of her misery. God forbid Im ever in her shoes I hope someone does that for me.
As to the dog comment, I meant it as I know of no individual that would keep a pet alive under such circumstances. It says something about the duality of man and how hypocritcal of a society we can be.
And dont call me left of center. My politics are quite to the right and you can check my other posts to back that up. Dont be so quick to tote the party line however. Learn to think for yourself.

One of the drs said that she did squeeze his hand when asked but Greer ruled that there was no way to tell via the submitted video that she had actually done it. But he's never gone to see her himself. Figure that one out.
