Apparantly Greer issued a restraining order earlier preventing the DCF from taking Terri Schiavo...

A state judge issued an emergency order Wednesday to keep the Department of Children & Families from taking any action that would reconnect Terri Schiavo’s feeding tube. George Felos, the attorney for Michael Schiavo, asked Pinellas Circuit Judge George Greer to issue the order Wednesday while the judge considers a request from DCF and Gov. Bush to take custody of Terri Schiavo.

This may explain the delay.

The Judge has a bailiff. The Governor has MARSHALLS!! Many, many Marshalls TRUMPS a bailliff whom I doubt would fight to preserve the Judges orders.
That's IT in a nutshell. The Governor just has to have the GUTS, like Clinton to order the Marshalls to capture and kidnap ELIAN.

It's too late - he's already there.
Besides which, he's way in the lead for the Narcissistic Asshole of the Universe trophy for 2005.

I don't understand Judge Greer. I read somewhere that he is a Republican and a Christian.

I just don't understand this.

Gotcha . Was that in Canterbury Tales -- the Friars' Tale, perhaps? I did the Nun's Priest's Tale many years ago in the original Old English, but I don't remember that. As I said, it was quite while ago, though.

In addition to all your other efforts, here are some simple steps everyone can do that might stop Michael Schiavo's attempted murder dead in his tracks. He has requested to have Terri's body cremated, this might be to remove all traces of evidence that he may have caused her present condition by strangling her:

http://www.hospicepatients.org/hammesfahr-depo-neck-inj-similar-to-strangulation-case.pdf

According to (Florida Statutes 406.11(1)(c)), "All requests for cremation must be approved by the Medical Examiner prior to the actual cremation":
http://www.co.pinellas.fl.us/forensics/policy/policystatement.htm#CA

Furthermore, the statute says, "Before authorizing the irretrievable disposal of a body by cremation, the Medical Examiner must be assured that no future question will arise about the cause or circumstances of the death of the individual."

This is where you come in - it will only take you 2 minutes to help save her life!

You can request an autopsy report for Terri Schiavo online at:
http://www.co.pinellas.fl.us/forensics/Autopsy_Request/autopsy_request.htm
If you have any trouble with the form, you can just request it by email to dlewis@co.pinellas.fl.us

I don't suspect they will actually send you an autopsy report, but just the fact that you request it can do a lot of great things! If they get thousands of autopsy reports for a living person, it would be totally unprecedented and there would be absolutely zero chance that they could legally approve her cremation. Second, this would become newsworthy and would send a clear signal to Mr. Schiavo. If he is actually guilty of attempting to strangle her, and he knows she is guaranteed to be autopsied if she dies, his best bet may be to let her live! After all, it took him 7 years after her feeding tube was first used to remember that her will was to never have a feeding tube - he didn't remember that until he won the 1.25 million dollar malpractice lawsuit. Eight years later, he might suddenly remember that she actually did want to have a feeding tube if she needed one!

And please pass this email around or write your own like it - we need to spread the word fast!

Work hard - pray harder!

Jimm

No one is listening:

Jeb Bush doesn't make the call to seize Terri and place her in protective custody. This decision is made by the DCF.

George Felos, Board member of the hospice to which Terry was sent to die

What does being a Board member have to do with it? I hear some politicians even give left over campaign funds to the same hospice.

In this guy's case, I would probably agree.

Sir, you are correct. Greer has usurped his authority. He cannot deny a lawful statute from being carried out.

Exactly. LEOs are part of the Executive branch. Gov. Bush simply gives an order to stand down and they obey his order.

Greer's action sounds like the grasp of a desperate man.

Amazing what kind of legal manipulation money can buy these days.

Actually, he wasn't. He was raised a Catholic, and as a young boy he fantasized about being a priest (!), but by his 20s, Hitler was an agnostic with at most a faith in "Luck" or "fate". When dictator, Hitler tried to bring back the Teutonic pagan gods, without much luck.

make him look nuts

I agree: Judge Greer seems unbalanced.

My guess is that his career as a judge is about to take a hard turn onto a new career path.
