The real question is whether Greer has overstepped his authority by ordering that no one can give Terri food or water by mouth. This on the face of it cannot be legal and why George or Jeb Bush haven't blasted Greer out of that courtroom on this one I will never understand.
Food and water given by mouth are not life support or extraordinary means in any shape, form or fashion. No judge has the power to order a person be denied food and water by mouth. I defy anyone to show me a legal authority for such an abomination. Why is Jeb waiting? Has this specific facet of this case been challenged? If not, why not?

This on the face of it cannot be legal and why George or Jeb Bush haven't blasted Greer out of that courtroom on this one I will never understand. I know facts are inconvenient little things, but the reason is -- hold on to your tinfoil hat now -- Judge Greer never ordered any such thing. All of his orders are scanned and available at www.abstractappeal.com. So take an hour or two and go read them all and report back when you find one that says he is "... ordering that no one can give Terri food or water by mouth."
We'll wait. Hint: you won't find it because it didn't happen. The only -- repeat only -- decision for which the husband/guardian needed judicial authorization was the removal of the feeding tube. That's what he got. That's what every court from here to Timbuktu has reviewed and found wholly justified by Terri's expressed wishes and her PVS.
Wanna take the challenge? I thought not. More fun to make things up, isn't it?

"The real question is whether Greer has overstepped his authority by ordering that no one can give Terri food or water by mouth. " Bingo! And wouldn't that also answer the question of whether TERRI, not the scumbag husband, wants to live or die? Why hasn't anyone else noticed this aspect of the case?
