One former first lady is offering predictions about another.
Barbara Bush said former first lady, and current senator, Hillary Rodham Clinton will be the Democratic candidate for president in 2008.
But Sen. Clinton won't be the nation's first female president, at least not according to Mrs. Bush.
Mrs. Bush, 79, said Clinton will lose in the next election.
Mrs. Bush also predicted Condoleezza Rice won't run for president in the next election.
Mrs. Bush spoke to high school and college students in Modesto, Calif. She told them she never dreamed she'd be the wife of one president and the mother of another.
As for the current chief executive, his mother jokes that when he was a boy, she "just hoped he'd grow up."
I love Barbara Bush! She's the greatest! She has a great sense of humor.
I wish she would predict Hillary will lose in 2006. DRAT!

did she say who the winning republican or democrat male will be?
Maybe she's saying there won't be one for a while. At least not while we are fighting the war on terror!

Hope she's right but she probably thought that her husband would defeat Clinton in '92 as well.
I dont think hilary has a chance in hell of even being chosen as the democratic nominee. The dems know if they can't win with Kerry there will be no way they will be able to pick a woman nominee in the next pres. election.
She'll lose .......in 06 & 08 IMO !
Actually I have been lurking on the Dark Side. Kerry is NOT the favorite there. Clark is the favorite along with Dean and Barbara Boxer. They WILL vote for Hillary if its a choice between her and a Republican in the White House. They will bite their lip and vote for her.
The only one you didn't mention was Dirty Harry Reid...the gang is all here, ops wait, where Nancy?? Oh that's right, she's with French Boy....I to love Mrs. Bush...a true lady, as is Laura Bush.

Imho, she wants it ALMOST as bad as her lyin', cheatin', perjurin', waggin'-the-dog, former commander-in-briefs, impeached, blubous-nosed, chubby hubby does.
