The question seems to be why we didn't go to Pinellas Park to riot?

No doubt those ghouls would like for the cops to shoot some more Right to Life people.

Standing virtually alone was Tim Harmon, one of the few protesters who openly supported Michael Schiavo. Mr. Harmon, a 44-year-old hair stylist from Tampa, said it angered him that Congress and President Bush became involved in a personal situation after Florida's courts had so thoroughly considered the case. "What utter hypocrisy," he snorted at posters with messages like "Feed Terri—Starve Michael."

Hair stlylist? Please. I'm not going there. But they find the lib amongst the crowd.

Big events are nice, but I'd rather have 100,000 phone calls and letters to elected officials than 100,000 people at a rally.

Wow! An article stating that not as many protesters turned up as expected.

I am still looking for articles like this about anything reported about liberal/leftist/socialist/communist/pink/gay protests.!

On the other hand, the whole Schindler family expresses frustration that the investigative media, usually eager to root through ugly issues, have shown so little fascination in the case of their sister and her husband.

You gotta be kidding! It has been non-stop Terri for the past week and a half.

Boy after seemingly hundreds of outraged post on FR demanding that Jeb Bush take the law into his own hands and DO SOMETHING, none of the keyboard warriors can be bothered to go there and even protest!

"Gee its a holiday and we got a big meal with the relatives tomorrow"....JEEZ.........

What a JOKE!

I guess they are all waiting for someone else (Jeb,GW) to put their a** on the line and take all the penalties for breaking the law!

Where the h*** is Rush, Savage, O'Reilly, Dobson, Hannity, etc??? They sure talk a good game don't they but when push comes to shove...uh...their busy schedules won't allow them to be there?? LOL!!

Dr Kennedy, where are you?? You DEMANDED that Jeb take ACTION! You live in Florida, your church is there, why aren't you and your whole congregation marching outside the hospice 24/7??? Where are all of the brave, heroic foot soldiers ready to go to jail???

This PROVES that the bomb-throwers, hotheads, and wack-jobs that have been calling for a Jeb and/or GW to start a constitutional crisis over this issue are in reality a TINY MINORITY in this country! They can't even get twenty people out there for cryin out loud!

The Repub's need to cut all ties to these nuts now before the President's poll numbers fall even farther than they already have, the lowest in his entire presidency!

I am ROTFLMAO! They are all waiting for someone else (Jeb,GW)to take the heat and dodge the bullets if it came to that! LOL!

TALK IS CHEAP, AIN'T IT BOYS???

Last year, the local bishop is reported to have prohibited the mention of Mrs. Schiavo in area churches; he yielded finally to allow such mention—but only in prayers.

Bishop Lynch is a disgrace.

Those who have been participated in Operation Rescue know Randall Terry and his history and many know that the Schindler's picked the wrong person to be spokesman. He has managed to turn the family against Jeb Bush, who has done yeoman's work on their behalf.

Perhaps Bush could do more. Perhaps he could even stop this, but bullying him in public won't get the job done. I've heard the same thing happened in the Florida senate. RT started calling them names and threatening them before they even voted. No one wants to villified while they decide what to do.

Had some other public figure called for 1000s to come, they would have come, I believe.

Another area that seems to be out of the question.

I have seen no discussion, no comments about NEGOTIATIONS.

Not between Michael Shiavo and the Schindler family.

Not between the President, Governor, Legislators, Courts/Judges, Attorneys, Hospital/hospice management.

Not between and among various medical experts.

Not between the so-called leaders and spokespersons, etc. The Randall Terry's, and the religious professionals, etc.

Not any, anywhere. No compromises, no offers, nothing.

I am, therefore, not surprised that after 15 years, it comes to the scenes of the last few days.

I really don't see the sense of having large demonstrations on-site. It just creates the possibility that someone will get over eager and do something stupid. I have never seen that on-site demonstrations accomplish anything except making demonstraters look bad on TV. Better to stay and home and use the internet and other more modern, and more effective methods. Opening your pocketbook is also more effective than marching in a picket line.

Taking physical action is supposed to be the role of government especially the "magistrate." Governor Bush as Chief Magistrate is the one to act. Individual citizens serve better by writing (demanding if you will) that the Governor fulfill his God ordained role. Voting in elections also is the way. If pols don't respond to their base, then the pols are removed by the election process. Some in the Republican party forget that without the Christian base (the "wackjobs" as one over the top poster called them/us) the Republican party would be in them minority.

So the media is pissed because they don't have the 24/7 freak show they were promised? Boo-hoo.
One doesn't need to stand around with signs to force Congress to pass legislation and make the President fly back and sign it.
But then again, that doesn't exactly sell advertising does it.

The MSM must mistake the prolife crowd for the left wing wackos. I believe the pro life people were on their faxes and phones taking action.

While the left thinks a hootinanny folk song fest does something, conservatives prefer to do something useful and constructive.

This is more MSM spin to create something for democrates to hide behind. The Demcrats made a political calculation that Republicans would look bad instead of looking good for fighting the good fight.

These stories are just part of their pre-planned effort that is just out of date. It is just like their October stories in 2004. Remember the NYT and CBS were supposed to coordinate the fake missing munition story, they were supposed to coordinat the fake guard stories.

We thought the government was going to do the right thing, but evidently it was all a big show to keep the masses from getting too upset until it was too late.

I'm somewhat surprised that the local Social Services agency has not attempted to apply for guardianship of Ms. Schiavo. Maybe they have tried already and lost out. They would be entitled to an evidentiary hearing automatically, and perhaps have grounds to have the feeding tube re-inserted. Would be heard in front of another judge, as it is a new file. Is this what was attempted by DCF?

On another note, I had heard a local radio lib talk down the medical report concerning Ms. Schiavo's bone breaks. Anyone here something about that?

Maybe because it wouldn't necessarily be helpful to have a mob seize a woman on the verge of death?

Criminal...

Pinellas County Sheriff's deputies, and Pinellas
Park, Fla., police officers arrest 10-year-old Joshua
Heldreth, of Charlotte, N.C., for trespassing on
Woodside Hospice property in Pinellas park, Fla.
Heldreth was attempting to bring Terri Schiavo a
glass of water. Schiavo's feeding tube was removed
by court order Friday, March 18, 2005.

"Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give
You drink?..." And the King will answer and say to them, "Assuredly,
I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My
brethren, you did it to Me."
Jesus, from St. Matthew 25:37-40

Well, there's the little problem that those most likely to object have families and responsibilities and can't just drop those.

I did consider showing up to be arrested, probably to assuage my own guilt more than anything else, but there's the pesky problem of the obligations I have to my family.
