I am the hero.
The fool down the block is the hero
10 year old Josh Heldreth is a true hero who is actually acting on his beliefs down in Florida getting arrested trying to take water into Terri Schiavo.
I do not think that dramatic gestures are the right thing to do in this circumstance. I don't have enough trust in the conflicting versions of the events surrounding Terri Schiavo to make a positive judgement about what the right thing to do is.
This article indicates that you think you do know what the right thing is, but you're waiting for someone else to pick up the cause and do something about it.
That's the wrong approach. Don't go looking for a hero. Be the hero.
There's a line from a movie that I really agree with.
"It's not hard to do the right thing, it's hard to know what the right thing is... but once you know what is right, it's hard not to do it." - Ben Kingsley in "The Confession"
No, I am saying that with all this confusion we error toward life.
"Don't go looking for a hero. Be the hero."
Excellent! :)
