Felos' faux observations and crocodile tear sympathy were pathetic lawyering. I have seen it many times in the court and usually the lawyer is too stupid to realize how fake he or she looks.
That statement by him struck me as obscene. It was positively perverse. If I were her mother, it might be the stake through my heart, that a sick man like him was admiring the beauty of my daughter on her deathbed by virtue of his services. He sounded like a sick serial killer.

I heard this too, and it just makes me sick. Since she's looking so "beautiful" and she's got such a wonderful "look of peace and beauty" about her, I think that we should demand to see current photos of Terri.
Frankly, I am speechless at the audacity and sheer evil of what he's saying.
My step-mother's father went through exactly this sort of death, at his explicit request. He was in his mid-80's, his kidneys had failed, he was tired of the nearly continuous dialasis, and he wanted to join his wife. The Drs had said that they could probably keep him alive for another month or two, but he really didn't want to. In fact, he refused any food or water when offered, but did accept pain medications. The pain meds were the reason that he died peacefully, but he didn't die with a "look of peace and beauty." When he died, he looked horrific.

Bobby Schindler, Terri's brother, challenged Felos to allow video of Terri to be shown if she is thriving like that.
Essentially, Felos is calling the Schindlers liars for saying she is suffering. If a family member had said Terri had "a look of peace and beauty upon her, " he would have countered that it was all in his/her imagination, and that any such look was involuntary and coincidental.

That man (Felos) is a monster. Why would he even say that. Why can't he just revel i his legal victory (together with his client Michael) and just shut up? Saying that he thought Terri was in a state of 'beauty and peace' must be so hurtful to her family. I just have no words for any of this. If that is no evil i have no understanding of the word.
