While I too am disappointed that the executive branch did not intervene, in fairness, I think the problem is that, despite the best efforts of the new media to raise awareness about the facts in this case, the old media were strong enough to hoodwink the majority of the population. Public opinion for Terri was strong enough to get the Palm Sunday congressional act but the old media, Deathocrats and Deathicists launched a counterattack. Without legislative backing, it was executive against judiciary and legislature in Florida and in the nation. So the subpoenas went unenforced and Jeb Bush pulled back.

One branch alone cannot correct the overreaching of one branch because as long as one branch acts alone, it is one against two (one against one actively overreaching branch and one passively condoning branch).

While I am disappointed in the executive, the true problem is the timidity of the legislative branch when push came to shove.

And we must focus our anger on further transformation of the legislative branch--to 60 seats in the Senate etc.

Only the rise of the new media in the last 10 years even permitted the opposition to the Deathicists to go as far as it did. That this even became a national story is a tribute to the new media, to FreeRepublic, WorldNetDaily, Fox News, Newsmax, Washington Times and many, many others. While this is a horrible defeat, the war is not yet over.

I also am afraid that this issue is unique but the feeding tube is being installed and pulled by so many loving children in dealing with their parents, that it became a point of guilt for them. How could they say Michael was wrong when they have been doing nearly the same in some situations.

This is the very same thing we run into on abortion. To condemn the act, condemns them for their past.

Don't know the answer but we cannot continue killing to prevent the guilt of past killing. How insane - killing is not an addiction.
