The Jews killed (forced Pilate into killing) Jesus. To argue otherwise is a waste of time.

I doubt seriously that we would kill Him today, He would, at the most, probably get a tv show, otherwise, He would be rejected a a kook. Who would instigate this killing, what countries would agree on it? Capital punishment is not even legal in most countries. When was the last time the entire world agrred on an execution?

Interesting. My English version reads "he was the Christ." I haven't looked at my Latin copy lately, but if memory serves, that was a pretty good literal translation.

1. the dinner rolls always bothered me. Its not just in the movie , but also many paintings. Someone wrote me that it was not a seder but the day before. however that seems to contradict tradition

4. The Temple priests are guilty. When the Jewish revolt began, the first to go were the Roman selected priests. they were nothing more than Quislings/Kapos of the Roman authorities. That being the case, they served their overlords by bringing Jesus to Pilate. How does that translate to the Jewish nation? Did the action of collaborators in Nazi or Soviet controlled Europe tarnish the entire nation?

LOL, yes Jesus would probably get a TV show if He first came today. And interviews in Rolling Stone and Newsweek and the NY Times. And He would surely have millions of followers, every night at 9:00, and in person. But the end principle is the same, what had to be done for atonement would still be the same.
