And he doesn't think that's what Terri would have wanted. I'm not making a judgement, mind you. I'm just trying to give you a understandable explanation as to why he insists on this.
Another possibleexplanation is: if pictures of Terri, after 11 days of dehydration, were ever released it would turn public opinion and set back the right-to die movement.

Another reason for the cremation is he likely fears that some ass like Randall Terry is going to photograph the body and leak that to the press. I'm sure the Schindlers would find that repulsive as well. Recall, Randall Terry is the jerk who mailed President Clinton a fetus. He's not one for subtlety if it funds his agenda or gets him publicity.
Or it could be spite. Some people are just plain mean.
