And .. for those who don't ever read the Bible - I believe there is such a word in there - made by JOB - he said, "The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away".

The author was using a scriptural reference as a play on words. Those of us who do read the Bible knew what she meant.

Those of us who read more than the Bible understand how words used to work. You will notice that Job didn't say God "can taketh away."

For the record, grammatical criticisms of an article are never assumed to be directed at the article's poster, unless you also wrote the article. (I don't get the impression you did, though, because your grammar is consistently good.)
