This past week, he (JUdge Greer, Schivo case) parted ways with his Southern Baptist church, which had advocated keeping Terri Schiavo alive, after his pastor suggested it would be better if he left.
longtime friend Mary Repper said she recently spoke with him and he judge sounds "worn out" by the case that has been on his docket for more than seven years."The people in that church should be ashamed of themselves, to demonize George and to ask him to leave for doing his job, for upholding the law," she said. "To me, that was the most offensive thing that has happened so far."

"A lawyer told me when I first got involved in this case that he (Greer) does not have a reverse on his transmission," Anderson said. "He apparently is too prideful to say 'I made a mistake. I made a mistake because I didn't have all the information and I am sorry I made a mistake."'
That says it all, I think. Greer blew the case, and would rather let a woman die horribly then admit the mistake.

QUESTION!!!!!! Congress ordered a DeNuvo, which means a complete review of everything in and about this case. If the results were the same // WOULD THEY STILL REMOVE THE FEADING TUBE?????

From what little I've read from his supporters, that is the impression I have as well, he is too prideful to admit his mistakes.

Pride is what started the whole mess.

I have been wondering if the financial contributions from Felos' firm to Greer; and the fact that he did not recuse himself for a conflict, are enough to have them both dragged before the bar ethics committee? Can they be disbarred?

maybe the goodly judge wouldn't have been under such scrutiny if he would have refused to take "bribes" called campaign contributions from Felos/Schiavo...maybe if he stepped away from the case since he is on the board of directors of that lovely dying place of Felos...if all we have read is correct...
tough, Judge Greer....you never gave Terri a chance, you made up your mind and now just take the consequences....

I think it is time that we all need to have compassion for Michael Schiavo. Since starvation and terminal dehydration is such a beautiful thing. I think we need to pull the feeding spoon and liquids from Michael. I don't think there is much brain activity in that skull, do you? So lets just lock him up in a room surrounded by police guards and let him share this experience with his wife. We will deny him any food and water and we can just watch him have a beautiful existence as he terminates from dehydration.

Greer was not "forced" into the spotlight. That's BS.
There are a whole lot of things he could have done differently in order to assure that he was not accused of unfairness in this case. He basically rubber-stamped everything that Michael Schiavo requested, on the theory that Michael was Terri's guardian. All very fine, but since he's also the petitioner, who's protecting Terri's rights? Certainly not the judge. His job was to make an independent review of the case. I don't think he did it.
